In the course of the Committee it was declared that the Bill (Reg. No6194) suggests the amendments to the structure of higher education, exclusion educational levels of higher education, implementation of the apprehensible grades of education that would be easily perceived within labour market and would be coordinated with the European norms bachelor, master and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
It was also emphasised that new version of the Law "On Higher Education" suggests defining of the higher educational establishments structure and forming of the demands regarding the quantity of students, spheres of education and scientific specialties.
Moreover, it was emphasised in the course of the sitting that the Bill envisages considerable broadening of the legal circle for the activity of higher educational establishments and also presenting the status of research institute to number of the leading national higher educational establishments.
Pursuant to the document, certain new norms of the finance activity of the Universities are to be presented in particular it concerns the right to open accounts, the right for the possession of the bank credits, implementation of fees etc.
Volodymyr Polokhalo emphasised that new version of the Law "is supposed to harmonize the Ukrainian educational legislation with the norms of European legislation."
